Challenge
The client expanded the global market and needed to localize the website and APP in multi-languages. The client's budget was very low, and the
peer quotation was also lower than ours.
Since Mars was introduced by their peers, the client had high trust in us. We have the advantage of translating blockchain experience, with fast response and good service.
Thus, the client chose us for this project.
Difficulties of the project
1、Online translation was used, but it had low efficiency.
2、The workload was substantial, and time was limited.
3、The budget was low.
4、UI translation resulted in lengthy translations, requiring frequent rework.
5、Both the website and app required LQA checks, which were challenging to coordinate with translators.
6、The translation content was continuously updated.
7、The translators were not familiar with the Crowdin translation platform.
Solution
1、We adopted both online and offline translation methods. Most of the content was imported from the Crowdin platform and translated using Trados.
2、We urgently assembled a large project team and sought assistance from the RM department. Through multiple efforts, we were able to match a
significant number of cost-effective translators within one week.
3、For offline translation, we conducted repetition analysis to identify duplicate segments and saved some costs. When matching translators, we
set cost limitations in collaboration with the RM department.
4、We provided translation guidelines before the translation process, emphasizing the importance of concise translations. We needed translators
who were experienced in UI translation.
5、We allocated appropriate resources to ensure timely and satisfactory LQA, even if it involved increased costs.
6、We closely monitored the translation progress on a daily basis. When the client provided updated files, we promptly supplemented the
translation and maintained effective communication with the client.
7、We provided Crowdin platform training to the translators and the client supplied an operation manual to
familiarize them with the platform
