Clinical Guidelines translation - Clinical Guidelines project translation

Clinical Guidelines translation - Clinical guidelines, also known as clinical practice guidelines, are guidelines for specific clinical situations. Clinical practice guidelines were originally defined as guidelines for the development of systems to enable clinicians and patients to make appropriate decisions based on a specific clinical situation. Attributes required for this definition in the guidance include validity, reliability, clinical applicability to a specific population, flexibility and clarity of clinical application.

Translation of clinical Guidelines The development and funding of clinical guidelines should be well documented and publicly known. "Through a transparent development process, you can see how the guidelines weigh evidence, pathophysipological justification (first principles), expert experience, patient and social values." Evidence quality and 'recommendation strength' are confusing concepts. 'Evidence quality' measures the confidence with which guideline authors assess the pros and cons and is based on an analysis of the validity, consistency, and directness of the evidence supporting certain recommendations. The "strength of recommendation" conveys an assessment of the importance of compliance by guideline makers and is based on the quality of the comprehensive evidence and expected strengths and weaknesses.

Clinical medicine is an important pillar industry in China's external economic development. After China's accession to the WTO, international exchanges in clinical medicine industry have become increasingly frequent, and the demand for translation has also increased. The translation of clinical guidelines has a long history and complex procedures. Translators are required to understand the cultural background, language habits and terminology of clinical medicine related industries, and have a deep background knowledge of the industry. At the same time, with the increasing development of clinical translation industry and the diversification of external influences, clinical medical translators are required to have a forward-looking concept.
